The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity This is an economic analysis. What at first appear to be humorous illustrations actually turn out to be useful graphs. I like the idea of defining the stupid as those that produce negative utility for themselves as well as others, although the author occasionally seems to confuse the subjective utility of rational choice theory with the objective utility of utilitarianism.
