The Essential 50 Archives from 1UP.COM -- The most important games ever made. Of course these lists pop up about every other month on the 'net, but this is a good one, with plenty of respect for "first of kind" videogames. Want a great way to kill time? Grab emulators and play all 50, most of which can be easily tracked down online.

Girl gives new life to 20 -- Wow, I didn't know I even had that many organs. I simply don't understand the appalling selfishness of those who refuse to donate organs. What kind of person would rather have usable organs rot in the ground that have them used to save people's lives? Honestly, I think of such people as delayed-action killers, sentencing others to death because of their own vanity, sloth, or paranoia. Organ donation should be mandatory; surely the compelling interest in saving lives outweighs a dead person's rights to their parts. Who cares if the family would rather see others die? The law should simply step in and mandate organ removal like it mandates proper treatment of a corpse and prohibits living people from selling their organs.

ISPs -- This is an absolutely fascinating gallery of formerly pornographic pictures that have had the people digitally removed. What an interesting idea for art.
New (sub)Urbanism: The Copyrighting of Public Space -- Is it right for a city to spend hundreds of millions of tax dollars on a public space and then prohibit people from photographing that space without paying royalties?
